A first year M.S. candidate, Regina earned her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Environmental Science from Lafayette College in eastern, PA in 2004.  Her undergraduate thesis was on the biomonitoring of Bushkill Creek.  She earned a Nalven Scholarship to fund her research in 2002,  An Edward Hunt prize for Biology presented by her Biology department, an EXCEL scholarship for continuation of her research in 2003, and made the Dean's list.

Regina is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Environmental Engineering program at U.C. and was awarded an Environmental Protection Agency traineeship stipend.  Currently she is studying microbial source tracking at the E.P.A. and with Dr. Dan Oerther.  Her research interests include the application of molecular technologies to watershed quality analysis.
